Local fruit🥭🍍🥑🥥🍌
Some fruit in Penang is locally grown such as pineapple, mangostine, mango, guava, durian, passionfruit and dragon fruit. Farmers harvest the fruit every day and send it to a wet market (fruit veg and meat market)
We have recently been to a wet market and a roadside fruit stall There are sometimes monkeys (🐒) trying to steel the fruit from the man at the roadside stall.
We’ve tried mango🥭, pineapple🍍, dragon fruit and star fruit⭐️
P.S if you don’t know what some of these fruits are here is some more info about the fruit.
Dragon fruit: spiked bulb with purple skin and white inside
Mangostine: small flat shape with orange outside
Guava: green outside and white inside
Durian: green spiky skin with dark yellow balls inside (it smells like rotten meat)
Some fruit like grapes 🍇 and strawberries 🍓 are imported, even though they grow strawberries in the Cameron Highlands.
Very interesting thanks Thomas. What's your favourite fruit so far?
